The South African Rand (ZAR) is the official currency. Credit cards are widely accepted in shops, restaurants and hotels. Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) allow you to draw cash.

Visa Requirements
Europeans do not require a visa, but must show their passport, which needs to have at least three open pages and needs to be valid for at least 6 months after departure. Confirm the latest requirements with your travel agency.
