On December 5th, Nelson Mandela passed away at the age of 95, after a long period of illness.
The Nobel Prize laureate, symbol of peace, is no longer with us.
Nelson Mandela shaped the new reality of South Africa with all means available to him. He made the fulfilment of the wish for a peaceful harmonious South Africa his life’s mission. The peaceful transition to democracy impressed both friend and foe.
In 1994, the new South Africa, the rainbow nation, was born and, as the first president of the democratic South Africa, Mandela committed himself to the reconciliation of the South African nation. This transformation attracted many visitors our beautiful country.
Coincidentally, 1994 was also the birth year of Boleng Adventures. With pride we can share the diversity of our country with many a traveller: the impressive landscapes, cultures, wildlife, nature and diving.
Nkosi sikelel’ iAfrika – God bless Africa
Rest in peace, Madiba.
